About

El Morro National Monument operates a nine-site campground year-round. First come-first served. Each site has a graveled tent pad, picnic table and ground grill for fires. During the warmer months, water is available at spigots that are centrally located along the campground loop road. Once the overnight low's begin to reach freezing temperatures, water is turned off for the season. There are no hookups for RVs. The length limit on all motor homes is 27 feet overall. One site, #5, is handicapped accessible.

Regulations Overview: Please follow all posted regulations. - Campsites are limited to no more than eight people, two tents, and two vehicles per site. Tents are restricted to the confines of each campsite. - Campfires: Fires are permitted in provided grills only. Please comply with any seasonal fire restrictions. Collection of firewood within the monument is prohibited, so bring firewood with you if you intend to have a campfire. Ensure that fires are extinguished completely after use. - The campground has a limit of 14 days per calendar year. - Quiet hours: From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., including generators, radios, etc. - Pets must never be left unattended. Pets must always be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pet owners are responsible for cleanup and cleanup supplies. - The length limit on all RVs is 27 feet overall. This is measured from the front of the truck to the end of the trailer.
